Waialae School, WASC accredited since 1998, is the first conversion public charter school in the state. Taking risks, challenging one's self, finding solutions, and working as partners in education are cornerstones of our educational process. Our teachers and students work together to build understanding, knowledge, and deep appreciation for art, culture, science, mathematics, and literature. Our school emphasizes an interdisciplinary curriculum framework based on science and social studies; collaborative inquiry and problem solving, equitable access to high quality education, and multiple assessments of student learning.
