The Nation's Report Card: America's Charter Schools, Results from the NAEP 2003 Pilot Study

This pilot study of student achievement in charter schools found no measurable difference between students in charters and in other public schools who shared common characteristics. The study also acknowledged that it presents only a snapshot of the charter schools as they continue to evolve.
