Local School Boards to Vote on Adopting the Department's Weighted Student Formula
HRS 302B-13 requires that the local school boards at all the charter schools must vote on whether or not to adopt the Department of Education's weighted student formula (WSF).
It takes a 2/3s vote (18 schools)Â to adopt this alternative to the current per-pupil funding based on the CAFR.
And this vote must be completed by September 1 of even-numbered years.
