FEDERAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR POTENTIAL NEW CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICANTS

Dear Hawaii Charter School Developers;

The CSP non-SEA grant applications for 84.282B and 84.282C will close on Thursday, July 31. If an eligible SEA does not have an approved CSP grant application with the Department, then charter schools in that state may apply directly to the secretary. The CSP staff is available to coordinate a technical assistance phone conference for Hawaii charter developers interested in submitting an application under the current CSP 84.282B competition to plan, design and implement a new charter school.

The CSP application package for 84.282B can be found at www.grants.gov. The technical assistance phone conference will provide new charter developers an overview of the CSP competition, application process, application requirements and registering at grants.gov. Additional information and power points will be emailed to those participating in advance of this phone conference, including instructions for calling into the Department's conference line.

Please share this message with charter developers in the state of Hawaii interested in submitting an application under this competition. Interested individuals should contact Erin Pfeltz via email (erin.pfeltz@ed.gov) or phone (202) 205-3525 for additional assistance and information about the CSP grant application and submission process available for charter developers creating a new school in Hawaii.

We look forward to working with Hawaii charter school developers.
