What the law says: 

State law requires Hawai'i's charter schools to include a plan for student assessment that incorporates or exceeds the educational content and performance standards developed by the department for the public school system. [HRS 302B-5(d)(5)(B) and HRS 302B-6(d)(5)(B)]

What the standards say:

Hawai'i expresses its state perfomance standards in terms of Hawai'i Content & Perfomance Standards and General Learner Outcomes.
