Support Critical Federal Funding for Charter Schools!

National Alliance for Public Charter Schools

The President has called upon Congress to increase funding for the federal Charter Schools Program to $310 million.

The Charter Schools Program will help cover the extraordinary costs of launching successful charter schools, disseminating successful innovations to other public schools, and providing financial incentives to state governments and private lenders that help charter schools meet their facilities needs. As states around the country struggle with dramatic budget deficits, this funding is providing a much-needed support for sustaining education reform and growing public charter schools.

BUT this is just a request, and, without support from Congress that request will not become reality. Please help us make sure charter schools receive the necessary support by e-mailing your Members of Congress.
