Revised Principles and Standards available along with Self-Evaluation Instrument
The National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NASCA) has revised its Standards and Practices for Authorizing Quality Charter Schools.
First published in 2004, NASCA documented these principals in order to answer the question: "What is quality authorizing?" These principles reflect the lessons learned by experienced authorizers and are aimed at providing a framework fo authroizing practice.

The US DOE highlighted its new report, Charter High Schools: Closing the Achievement Gap at the 2007 Showcase.
The eight schools profiled are:
- Gateway High School in San Francisco
- Media and Technology Charter High School (MATCH) in Boston
- Minnesota New Country School in Henderson, MN
- North Star Academy Charter School of Newark in Newark, NJ

A group representing a cross-section of Hawaii’s charter school and educational communities braved rare April snow flurries in Washington, DC to attend the National Charter Schools Program Showcase.
Under the theme “One City at a Time: Expanding High Quality Charter Schools,†the US DOE’s Office of Innovation and Improvement brought together state and federal educational professionals to disseminate information aimed at increasing the understanding of the charter school model and expand the number of quality charter schools.Â

Language Arts program developed by UH-Manoa's CRDG builds strong communicators three ways
Teaching approach brings together journal-writing, sentence analysis, and reading aloud together. The strength of this approad is in using all of these traditional approaches together and extending their use through middle and high school.
The Golden Triangle was developed through the Curriculum Research and Development Group (CDRG) at UH-Manoa. And has been successfully implemented at the following charter schools:
